More and More and More of Him

Each day it gets engraved in my soul more and more that this earth is temporary and nothing else matters besides the Kingdom of God. That is what we live for, that is what we seek and desire. So much of my life I’ve spent so comfortable and honestly when I get comfortable I feel distant from God and I do tend to slide away, not into pinpoint sins but just into a lack of reverence for God and that does diminish His power in me and my ability to have relationship with Him. I always love God but “actions speak louder than words” is such a true statement and it applies to our spiritual walk with Christ.
There are so many desperate people in the world, desperate for saving… We as christian’s are the ones called to reach them, meanwhile we get caught up in our buisiness of motherhood, plans and family telling ourselves that it’s ok so long as we are a good person and not breaking Gods commands. Too often we forget that some of Gods most important commands are to go out and reach the lost and share the gift that He has given us.
I’m currently writing this in the middle of the night because I am restless and felt a great urgency to write to share with as many souls that may need touched. I’ve been having a whirlpool of trials, storms this year. Because of so much going on I have come to the realization that this life is not my own, I have no control over any of the things that people like to rest in such as health, safety, security, reputation etc. Every one of those things can be stripped from us at any moment and they hold no power in the end. ALL that matters is that we fulfill the plans God has for us by living in obedience to Him. The amazing thing is that no matter how many times we feel distant, once we give Him due glory, respect and obedience He will walk through the fires with us and He will not fail.
This world will fail us, that’s not in question. This world will still even fail us when we are walking with Christ at times, He never promised we would have a safe, healthy, perfect life if we follow him. Just the opposite in fact, He said that since He himself suffered such persecution at the cross, we as well experience such things….I never question where is God in a situation anymore and have not dealt with blame in years but I know it’s so common in Christians to struggle with that any time they go through trials. We just have to keep our eyes on him and know that he delivers us from the evil one! he restores our soul! he guides us and walks with us through trials and never forsakes us! When we think kingdom minded suddenly our earthly struggles become so much more bearable and less heavy.
God is a good, loving, just, and forgiving God and in the end He will do what He has spoken. At the end of it all, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord, it’s just a matter of will you bow and confess now today and receive the gift of life, or will you wait until it’s too late once He is revealed at the end of life? Please give God the glory and lay down your burdens…. lay down your pride and comfort and security. Whatever you may face, the need for a savior is in all of us, no one will survive off of self sufficiency. I am so greatful that He will always be with me no matter what I face, and his blessings come in so many shapes and sizes. I pray for forgiveness for every time I missed an opportunity to live out my faith because I was caught up in life’s circumstances or paralyzed by fear, He is so worthy of our devotion and it is our job to help save the lost no matter what we face.
